We believe that trash is far too precious to waste. That’s why we have used recycled cotton in our production for more than 15 years.
What others consider to be rubbish, we see as a brilliant way to rethink, reduce, reuse and recycle.
Kronstadt uses recycled cotton mixed with a bit of polyester or acrylic to create vibrant colours without dyeing the fabric or adding new raw cotton.
This procedure adds a bit of stretch to the fabric making the clothes extremely comfortable and easy on the environment as well as easy on the eye.
Here is how it works:
The journey of recycled cotton starts with the waste and left overs from textile and garment production being collected.
The scraps of collected fabric is separated according to colours and blends before being transformed into recycled fibers.
Polyester or acrylic is then added to the recycled fiber to produce colored yarn without dyeing or using new raw cotton.
Finally we use these recycled yarns to produce an increasing variety of our clothes. You will find the collection marked with special tags.
